A client has requested a poster design that will promote their upcoming retro themed party. What is the most effective style for a poster that promotes a retro themed party? Photo-based or cartoon-based?

I searched through various disco party posters, mostly featuring illustrations of people dancing and/or wearing 70s clothes. Inspired by those posters, I developed a retro design.
